It is common to have acne during pregnancy. In my previous post on pregnancy acne, I have talked about about the causes of acne during pregnancy. In this post, I will focus more on acne treatment during agency. Specifically, I will focus more on natural remedies so as to reduce the effect of medicine on the unborn child. Personally, I don’t know whether prescription based remedy for acne during pregnancy is really safe.  Hence, I prefer more naturally y based remedies for acne.

Before going into the different treatments for acne during pregnancy, I want to dispel the common myth that acne is a sign of pregnancy. Acne has many causes from a unhealthy diet, an oily skin base to smoking  hence it is not conclusive to say that acne is a sign of pregnancy. If you want to be sure of whether you are pregnant, please go for a proper clinical check or buy one of those DIY pregnancy test kit. They are much more accurate than using acne as a sign of pregnancy.

Treat acne during pregnancy using peppermint
An usual pregnancy treatment is the use of peppermint, which can be considered to be a medical herb which is menthol-based. To use peppermint to cure acne during pregnancy, you need to first crush the leaves thoroughly and then applying the crushed mixture the your acne affected area. After 10 minutes, you can remove the mixtured and then rinse it off b yusing warm water.

Some people feel that spearmint is better for treating pimples, but I feel that that using a medicinal herb that is menthol-based such as peppermint is much better. What is great about it is that it can be grown in most climates, so you can actually grow it on your own.

The method involved for treating pregnancy acne with mint is to first of all crush the leaves thoroughly. Then just apply the juicy substance and the crushed leaves mixture to the area that contains the pimples. You should try to leave it on these areas for around ten minutes. The final step is to rinse it off by simply using water.
