Acne Remedy for back acne

This article talks about acne remedy for back acne.

It might sound strange but back acne is actually not that unusual. During hot months where you tend to sweat a lot, back acnes might be a problem for some. I have seen some people who are terribly troubled by the serious back acnes. This article will offer a guide on acne remedy for backs.

Causes

There are two common causes of back acne. One of them is a hereditary problem caused by hormones. The second common cause is perspiration and tight-fitting clothing. When you sweat and your clothing doesn’t provide good ventilation, the result is a film that clogs pores and causes blemishes ranging from whiteheads to inflamed papules and pustules.

Acne Remedy

Treating back acne is somewhere different to facial acne as the tougher back skin requires different solutions. For stubborn back acne, it often requires oral prescription antibiotics such as tetracycline or minocycline. Acne on the back is much more resistant to treatment than facial acne, so you need to treat it aggressively. Thus, a prescription Retin A cream or 10 percent benzoyl peroxide wash may be used.

For milder cases or to keep back acne under control,  you can simply wash daily with a salicylic-acid-based cleanser, and be sure to shower as soon as possible after perspiring. After shower, do wipe the acne area with a benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid pad and follow with an alpha hydroxy acid-based body moisturizer. Finally, you can apply a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide spot treatment on individual pimples at night. This treatment removes any bacteria that may accumulate on your back as you sweat.

If you want more natural acne remedy, here are some solutions to treat back acne.

* Add tea tree oil to homemade Lye soap and apply the mixture directly to the affected area. This can prevent future back acne as well as help to improve your skin.

* You can also try to apply lavender essential oil  to the affected area since it is a natural antiseptic and is effective for treating wounds and scar prevention.

* Apply water diluted apple cider vinegar to back acne twice daily as it is a natural astringent. You should increase the mix to 50% apple cider vinegar and 50% water solution if you show no signs of irritation for using the diluted version for a week. Be mindful that if you have a sensitive skin, you may need to user a weaker, more diluted solution.

With the right acne remedy and a change in your lifestyle such as those listed below, body acne can be cured:

*showering soon after your perspire
